How do I measure for a dress to find the best fit?
Here are our suggestions and tips for measuring and finding the best fit.
For the best fit, DON’T GUESS what your size would be.
Measure first, then determine your size from the size chart listed below. Order the size that comes closest to your measurements.
If between sizes, choose the larger size as it is always easier to alter the dress down than to let it out.
In most dresses the waist and bust measurements are the most important, but if your dress is fitted through the hips (mermaid or straight skirt), you’ll need all three.
For ball gowns or dresses with full skirts, focus on the bust and waist since a full skirt will have plenty of give either way. For dresses with open or tie backs, focus on the waist and hips.

We recommend that you wear your under garments that you will be wearing with the dress when taking your measurements.
Always make sure the tape is comfortably loose by placing one finger between the tape and your body but not tight when measuring.
Determine your size in 3 EASY STEPS:
1. BUST – Measure the fullest part of the bust. Make sure tape is straight across the back as you measure.
2. WAIST – Measure the natural waistline approximately 1 inches above the belly button. This should be the smallest part of the waist or the natural figure curve. Place the measuring tape around the waistline keeping the tape comfortably loose by placing one finger between the tape and your body.
3. HIPS – Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the hips / buttocks.
